I won't go into detail about all the great things I could say about this little computer--just that it is small, light, does all I want it to do...you can read more details from all the other reviews. The only drawback on mine was that, after 1 1/2 years of use, the pin inside the power jack broke off inside the computer from my rough pulling on the cord when unplugging (it is welded to the motherboard, from what I was told). It cost me $170 to get that fixed. I also wrapped the power cord up in a lazy way, making it also inoperable after one year of use...the replacement cost of that was $30. Both of these problems were my own fault, so just be VERY careful when using the power cord...be gentle on the jack and wrap the cord properly (no pulling where adapter and cord meet). Otherwise, this little gem is awesome for the money! I highly recommend it! I have a walking disability and have to use a walker, so I needed something light and small to slip into a backpack, and this computer fit the bill. I believe it's the best purchase I have EVER made!

Our Eee PC was great for a year. Then the left mouse button started to go; it doesn't work at all now. Also after about a year, the jack for the charger started acting funny- it wouldn't charge unless the wire was -just so-, it started getting really really hot, it would shock me. We purchased a different power pack but that didn't help. We tried to take it apart to attempt a repair but things just aren't built to dealt with.

Oh, we'd tried to take advantage of the "Take it to an approved repair shop for repairs" 1-Year Warranty and were told that our problems required a mail-in, which we didn't bother with.

Good enough machine for the most part (we were running Linux on it, very zippy; fantastic battery life) but the faulty mouse button renders it much less functional, and the power jack problems grew from irritating to dangerous. Sadly I wouldn't recommend this product unless these issues were seen to.

Acceptable price. Expensive shipping. Slower than expected. Most features fulfilled expectations, primarily for on line communication, social networking, basic word processing. Good size for travelling purposes with very good battery life.
